Sometimes I wonder why in the world I never discovered the power of a good pack of girlfriends sooner than I did. I was reminded of this power last night as I spent some time with friends from my social work program, and boy, was it lovely! I missed out on so much advice and unmatched emotional connections when I was hanging out with loads of silly boys in high school. I thought I was better off, that I was avoiding drama and ridiculousness. Now I look back and wonder if that was the smartest decision... Sure, I had some great times, but the power of knowing you are not alone in your girly feelings is one heck of a feeling! Thanks ladies!
