We have arrived! After quite a bit of hastle and a lot of sweat and tears, we are now officially settled in our new place in Richmond. Well new is not the right word, since the townhouse we are renting is quite a bit older than we expected, but it is going to be great.
Thomas began driving our moving truck and cars out last Thursday with his dad, sister and nephew who were kind enough to embark on this adventure across the country with him. The trip was eventful, to say the least. The moving truck broke down completely about two hours from St. Louis, Missouri and the truck place couldn't get him a new one for half a day. Then the company didn't have the keys to the truck so they had to tow it to where Thomas was and get it re-keyed. THEN they had to bring out some guys to reload all our stuff into the new truck. This made me sad because Thomas had packed the first truck so carefully and the new guys didn't do nearly as good a job. Thomas and his family had to stay there in Missouri that night which caused them to be a full day behind schedule- this caused more problems because they had to pay an extra night's hotel and his dad missed his flight home. The elder's quorum in Richmond was planning to help too and instead, had to help unpack on Sunday (which made me feel bad). ANNOYING!! Oh it doesn't end- The new truck had water leaking and engine problems also and the cab of the truck was absolutely FILTHY. They eventually made it to Richmond Sunday afternoon and had a big group of people come to help them move in. He met several really nice people from the ward and some other dental students that live here at our complex.
I was glad to only be hearing about these adventures by phone as I sat comfortably at my parent's house in Utah all weekend. I flew out Monday to meet them. Since we thought it would be torturous to send Butter on such a long road trip, I decided to bring him with me on the plane. He was such a good kitty! He didn't utter a peep the whole time but looked scared to death the whole day. It was pretty entertaining to have a travel buddy.
We are so happy to be here!!

glad to hear you all arrived safely!
I'm sorry that the trip didn't go very smoothly! My hubby and his dad will be doing that next week. Fun. You look great, btw. You are super skinny all except where baby is growing. Good luck with dental school!
